It’s time for another food introduction! Last Friday, I had the pleasure of trying ‘chicken hot pot’ (雞煲) for the first time in my life. Okay, it’s really just like a normal hot pot, except the original pot comes with braised chicken inside. Once you finish the chicken, pour in the soup base and you can start the hot pot as you usually would!
Of course, I’m not really much of a local, so unless someone else takes me, I’d never know how to find these kinds of places. The restaurant that we went to is located in Tsuen Wan, and apparently it is quite famous for their chicken. We were quite lucky to have booked our tables in advance (okay, we kind of had to… I mean, we had well over 20 people), because we saw a lot of people waiting outside for a table. Just a heads up though – it’s not exactly the cleanest of places, and you can definitely expect a noisy crowd, but it’s good at what it’s famous for.
If you’re around the area, be sure to give it a try!
